Privacy

I’m not really up to speed with this, but from my understanding, one is now required to have a privacy policy. Well, just to be sure, here this is.

Let me get this straight right from the beginning: I’m in no way whatsoever interested into any data from you. In fact, there is no word in any language known to man, which properly describes my utter lack of interest into your data. This is my personal blog and in no way a business.

With this out of the way (bear in mind, I’m no lawyer and have no idea if any of this is worth the time I spend writing it and also, I can’t state this enough, in not interested into your data), let’s talk a bit about the things that are running on this site.

The thing with the Cookies and stuff

It might be that I occasionally embed content from services such as YouTube, Vimeo and the like. In those cases, these services will in all probability do tracking and analytics on their own in the same way as if you were watching the video (or other embedded content) on their service.

I do not see, or have access, or even want that data in any way. So if you have questions, refer to the specific service’s privacy statement.

At the moment I use embedded Google Fonts, which to my knowledge and if Privacy Badger is to be trusted is not using any trackers. I will eventually switch to local fonts though.

I have by the time of this writing, not once used referral codes from, say Amazon or such. I don’t monetise anything on here. This might change in the future, but up to now: nope.

In any case, I’m doing my best to keep tracking to a minimum.

Should you for whatever reason have the unexplainable urge to contact me or comment via email I will get to know your email address, which shouldn't come as any surprise, but it be should be said. If you don’t want that, make both of us happy and don’t send me one in the first place.

I’m almost sure this is not sufficient but I hope the idea is clear: I don’t like tracking as much as you do and have tried my best in having the most privacy friendly site that I can do.

In general though I think it would be best to take things into your own hands and simply use a more private browser (Firefox, Safari, Brave…. you name it) and install whatever plugin(s) seem necessary to block trackers yourself, which by any means is more effective than reading this dumb Privacy page.
